An AI restaurant ordering assistant that takes the whole order in one conversation
A guest opens a chat on your website or WhatsApp, or speaks in their own language, and the assistant does what a good server does: confirms who they are, shows the live menu and today's offers, suggests what they might like, builds the cart, books the table or sets up takeaway, takes payment and hands over the invoice. Your kitchen sees the order in the same queue as every other.

What the AI Restaurant Ordering Assistant is and who it serves
The assistant is a conversational ordering layer for restaurants, cafés, quick-service outlets and multi-location food and beverage chains, delivered over web chat, WhatsApp and voice. It runs on the same multi-tenant hospitality platform as our hotel assistant: an agent orchestration graph for intents such as ordering, table booking, feedback and payment, with session state in Redis, conversation checkpoints in PostgreSQL and real-time updates to the guest and the kitchen over WebSocket. Speech recognition and synthesis for Indian languages are built in, so a guest can order by voice in the language they think in.
It is sold as a subscription per outlet, with multi-location chains managed under one tenant and each outlet keeping its own menu, offers, tables and order queue. We connect it to your existing POS and payment workflows during onboarding rather than asking you to run a second till; where a chain wants the assistant under its own brand, white-label deployment is available.
We deploy for restaurants in India, UAE and Saudi Arabia from Chennai and Abu Dhabi, where WhatsApp is already how many guests reach a restaurant, and for US operators from New Jersey. The conversational engineering comes from our conversational AI and voice agents practice, and the wider hospitality context is on our hospitality and travel page.
What the AI Restaurant Ordering Assistant does for guests and staff
Four capability groups: three the guest sees, one the manager sees.
Conversational ordering
Verifies the guest with a one-time password, shows the live menu with current offers, suggests dishes from what the guest has ordered before and lets a group build a shared cart from their own phones, so a table of six orders once instead of six times.
Guest fulfilment
Handles dine-in, takeaway and table booking in the same conversation: pick a time, pick a table size, choose collection or a seat, and the kitchen and front of house see the result without anyone transcribing it.
Payments and invoices
Takes payment inside the conversation through the integrated payment gateway, confirms it to the guest and issues a downloadable invoice, so the bill is settled before the food is boxed or the table cleared.
Restaurant administration
Gives managers a live order queue, menu and promotion management, table administration and analytics on what sells, when and through which channel, per outlet and across the chain.
How a guest order flows through the assistant
Five steps the guest experiences as one chat. The assistant keeps the state between them, so a guest can pause, come back and still find their cart.
- 01
Verify with OTP
The guest confirms their phone number with a one-time password, which links the order to their history and payment preferences.
- 02
Browse menu and offers
The live menu, today's offers and personalized suggestions are presented in chat, by voice or on a shared screen.
- 03
Build the cart
Items, modifiers and quantities are added by text or speech; friends at the table can add to the same cart.
- 04
Choose dine-in or takeaway
The guest books a table or chooses collection, and the kitchen queue receives the order with the right timing.
- 05
Pay and download the invoice
Payment is taken in the conversation and the invoice is delivered as a download, with the order closed in the POS workflow.
Product note on channels and scope
Web chat, WhatsApp and Indian-language voice are the channels in the product today. Dine-in, takeaway and table booking are the fulfilment modes; delivery dispatch is handed to your existing aggregator or rider workflow rather than managed here. POS and payment gateway integration depth depends on what your systems expose, and we confirm both during discovery before quoting.
Frequently asked questions
Will the assistant work with the POS we already have?
The assistant connects to existing POS workflows so orders land in the same queue your kitchen already watches. Integration depth depends on the POS: modern cloud systems with APIs connect directly, older ones through their export or printing interfaces. We confirm the method during discovery and tell you honestly if your POS limits what the assistant can do, rather than promising a two-way sync it cannot deliver.
Which languages can guests order in?
Text ordering works in English and the languages your menu is translated into. Voice ordering supports Indian languages through built-in speech recognition and synthesis, so a guest can speak Tamil or Hindi and hear the assistant reply in kind. Arabic voice is on the roadmap and we will confirm its status before quoting a Gulf deployment that depends on it.
How does a group order work?
One guest starts the order and shares a link or code with the table. Each person adds their own items from their own phone into the same cart, sees what everyone else has added and the running total, and one person pays or the bill is split. The kitchen receives a single order for the table instead of six that need to be married up.
Is it only for dine-in, or does it handle takeaway and delivery?
Dine-in with table booking and takeaway with a collection time are both in the product today. Delivery dispatch is not; if you run delivery through a third-party aggregator or your own riders, the assistant can take the order and hand it to that workflow, but it does not manage drivers. We would rather be clear about that boundary than imply a feature that does not exist.
How is the assistant priced, and how long does an outlet take to go live?
As a subscription per outlet, with chains managed under one tenant and white-label branding available. Going live for a first outlet involves loading the menu and offers, connecting the payment gateway and POS workflow, and testing the conversation with your staff; that typically takes a few weeks. Additional outlets on the same tenant are faster because the templates already exist.
